Espresso Blend
Espresso Blend
Bold. Chocolaty. Made for Espresso.
Meet Espresso Blend — a rich, full-flavored coffee crafted specifically to deliver the body, sweetness, and intensity a great espresso demands.
Built on a foundation of Honduran Organic COMSA Arabica and complemented with carefully selected Robusta, this blend produces a deeply chocolaty cup with semi-sweet richness, subtle nuttiness, moderate acidity, and a substantial body.
The Robusta isn't here to overwhelm the coffee. It is included in just the right proportion to increase caffeine, strengthen the cup, and produce the beautiful, persistent crema espresso drinkers love.
Drink it straight, turn it into an Americano, or add steamed milk. Espresso Blend has enough character to stand its ground.

What Makes It Special
Espresso Blend was designed around one objective: to make an exceptional traditional-style espresso.
The foundation is Honduran Organic COMSA, a coffee that becomes beautifully chocolate-forward as the roast develops. At fuller roast levels, its brighter characteristics give way to deep semi-sweet chocolate, caramel, subtle nuttiness, and a smooth, substantial body.
Compared with a more neutral espresso base, the Honduran coffee gives this blend additional character and sweetness. It is somewhat less nut-forward while emphasizing the rich chocolate qualities that work exceptionally well in espresso.
Then we add carefully selected Robusta.
Robusta plays a very specific role in this blend. The right proportion increases the coffee's intensity and caffeine while contributing additional body and the thick crema associated with classic espresso.
That combination becomes especially important when milk enters the picture.
Where delicate coffees can disappear beneath steamed milk, Espresso Blend maintains enough chocolate, roast character, and body to remain present in a cappuccino, cortado, flat white, or latte.
And patience pays off.
Freshly roasted Espresso Blend benefits significantly from resting. Give it at least 12 hours after roasting before brewing and the flavors begin to settle and integrate. For espresso preparation in particular, additional resting time can further improve extraction as the coffee degasses.

-
pulls rich, full-bodied espresso,
-
develops beautiful crema,
-
makes an excellent Americano,
-
cuts through steamed milk,
-
delivers more caffeine than an all-Arabica espresso,
-
and emphasizes chocolate and sweetness rather than sharp acidity.

Roast Recommendation
Full City+ / Medium-Dark Roast
Our recommended starting point.
Taking the coffee to approximately the beginning of second crack develops the Honduran coffee's semi-sweet chocolate character while maintaining sweetness and enough complexity to keep the espresso balanced.
Expect rich chocolate, caramelized sweetness, substantial body, subtle nuttiness, and excellent crema.
Dark / French Roast
For those who prefer a more traditional, intense espresso profile.
The cup becomes heavier and more roast-forward, with bittersweet dark chocolate, deeper caramelization, reduced acidity, and a powerful body that performs exceptionally well in milk-based drinks.
After Roasting
For best results, allow Espresso Blend to rest for at least 12 hours before brewing.
This setup period allows freshly roasted coffee to begin degassing and gives the flavors time to settle and integrate. The result is a sweeter, richer, and more developed cup — particularly when prepared as espresso.
